[Skamokawa, WA.] — Friends of Skamokawa presents “Water Journeys” featuring award winning, Southwest Washington artist Stan Riedesel.  Riedesel is a member of both the Peninsula Arts Association and Northwest Artist Association and was the winner of the 2017 Peninsula Arts Association Garlic Festival Poster contest. Stan’s paintings have been displayed in the Long Beach area at The Picture Attic and Bailey's Bakery and Cafe in Nahcotta, WA. Stan’s work has also been shown in Astoria at Grace Episcopal Church and the Astoria Artists' Loft.

A piece from Stan’s Artist statement, “When an artist's brush lays pigment on paper, a story begins - a window into an imagined moment. Magically, a painting can bring both the viewer and the artist together. As the painting unfolds, the viewer can find a conversation with the shapes and colors in the image.”

Stan Reidesel’s work can be viewed at the Broadway Gallery website:  http://the-broadway-gallery.com/tag/stan-riedesel/
