This four-piece Christian classic rock band from Vancouver, WA commands the stage, offering up healthy portions of gritty, inspiring originals with a dash of timeless covers for a pure, full flavored classic rock experience.

PureFusion is: Donna L Lewis, lead vocals & keys; Jade Lewis, drums; Brian Slosser on lead guitar & backing vocals; and Roger Southwick, bass guitar & backing vocals.

The concert will be from 2-4pm at Redmen Hall, 1394 W SR4, Skamokawa Washington. The concert fee is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.

You will also, on this Sunday afternoon, have the great benefit of experiencing our current exhibit from local artist, Carol Peacock. Her series, on display until June 19th is titled "Watching the River Flow" is peaceful, moving and powerful.

Second Sunday Concert May 10th at 2pm

Redmen Hall will be presenting a special Mother's Day Concert on Sunday, May 10. Kerrie McNally, of Willapa Hills Group will be singing specially selected songs in honor of the day. She has been one of the lead singers in Willapa Hills Group for many years and has done several solo albums. She has written many of her songs and has a beautiful voice to sing them with. The concert will be from 2-4pm at Redmen Hall, 1394 W SR4, Skamokawa Washington. The concert fee is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. There is an added attraction with the current exhibit of Carol Peacock's striking paintings on the sides of the room. Bring Mom for a wonderful afternoon in Skamokawa with a special Mother's Day concert.

"Legacy of the Columbia River Fisheries" and "Work is Our Joy" Exhibits now at Redmen Hall!

There is now a cozy little area at the top of the stairs on the second floor at Redmen Hall, complete with seating and a beautiful rug.  Our TV/VCR is set up to show "Work is Our Joy: The Story of the Columbia River Gillnetter".  In addition, we have a new display of smaller versions of the award-winning exhibit "Legacy of the Columbia River Fisheries".  The larger display travels around the country, so now we have a stay-at-home version for Redmen Hall, thanks to memorial donations (in honor of Robert and Eva Keatley and Freddie Koontz) and the generosity of area fishermen.  

These exhibits give visitors to Redmen Hall even more to enjoy when they come to see our ongoing line of exciting exhibits and talented performers!  

Carol Peacock Exhibition May 2 - June 21

Local artist Carol Peacock will have an exhibit at Redmen Hall from Saturday, May 2nd through Sunday, June 21st.  Carol speaks about her art:

"With each painting I create, I strive to show the expressions of love, kindness, joy and ecstasy on the faces of spiritual beings.  That is my  message... we are spirits with bodies with all the attributes of the universe available to us eternally.  I encourage everyone to meditate, to ask to be shown ones very own path of creativity that empowers to be the one can be and to share it with all mankind.  In this way we contribute to the process of evolution."

Carol Peacock grew up in a military family and spent her formative years in Europe. The exposure to the culture, ancient architecture, and the museums featuring the works of the old masters set her on the path of becoming an artist. After attending UC Berkeley she traveled extensively then spent many years in San Francisco painting and working with Children with Autism.  A move to an Art colony in Arkansas solidified her career as an artist where she showed at many galleries and had many one woman showings.  Carol has had exhibitions in Kansas City, Chicago, San Francisco, Little Rock, New Orleans, Barrington, IL (where she won best in oil) and Algonquin, IL where two of her paintings were exhibited as public art for a year at the Department of Education, and of course, in Eureka Springs, AR. Carol moved to Cathlamet in 2011 to be near to her sons and grandchildren .  This exhibit represents the paintings she has done since moving to Cathlamet.  Carol's paintings may also be seen at TSUGA Gallery, Scribbles Nail and gift Salon, and Maria's Restaurant all on Main street in down town Cathlamet.

Second Sunday Concert in April--Fisherpoets on April 12th

Friends of Skamokawa will be presenting their Second Sunday Concert this Sunday, April 12th. We are lucky to have the well known duo- David Densmore, fisherman poet and Alexa Wiley singer songwriter performing from 2 pm to 4 pm. Both of them have been active in the Fisher Poets events in Oregon and are well know here from their previous concerts at Redmen Hall. They will have their CD's available and David will be bringing his books of poetry to sell as well. David and Alexa's songs and poetry represent lives spent on the River and in the fishing communities here and in Alaska, so there is an authenticity to their music that shines. They are a group not to be missed, so we will see you there on the 12th at Redmen Hall in Skamokawa, Washington. The admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Refreshments will be served. Representatives  of the 'Riverkeepers' group will be there to discuss some of their current projects. For further information please call the Hall at 360-795-3007.
